Airing on public broadcasting from 2002 to 2012 with only three seasons, La Familia P. Luche is widely regarded as one of the most deeply rooted series in Mexican TV culture. Created by and starring comedian Eugenio Derbez, it depicts a chaotic and deeply dysfunctional family led by his character Ludovico P. Luche and his domineering wife, Federica (Consuelo Duval). Follow them along with their peculiar daughter, Bibi, their perfect son, Ludoviquito, their adopted adult son, Junior (who’s actually an undercover cop suffering from amnesia), and their indolent Argentine maid, Exelsa, navigating Ciudad Peluche (“Plush City”) where accessories, appliances and even furniture are covered in an array of plushness — much like Human Resources these days.
